Greer, SC – Global Management Partners is please to highlight the creation of our Front End Process Development group with the addition of Christopher Theisen, Steven Lythgoe, Marita Bobay Lythgoe, Austin Layden and Jo Turner. The addition of this group expands GMP’s project capabilities to include front-end process evaluation and design and brings to the table knowledge and expertise across many technologies.

Christopher Theisen

Chris has joined the GMP team as the Director of Process Development.

Chris comes to GMP with over twenty years of experience in executing projects at various stages of their lifecycle from feasibility study to start-up. The focus areas include conceptual engineering, front end engineering design, detailed engineering, safety reviews, purchasing and construction support. The industries served include renewable fuels, pharmaceuticals (precursors, APIs and excipients), flavorants (cGMP), specialty chemicals, chloralkali, polysilicon, polymers, fertilizer plants, municipal utilities, remediation of both chemical and nuclear contaminants, and power generation.

Steven Lythgoe

Steve has joined the GMP team as the Process Technology Manager.

Steve is a highly skilled process modeling and development expert with more than thirty years experience in the chemical engineering world spanning many chemical processes including fermentation, renewable fuels, biomass gasification, steam methane reforming, Fischer-Tropsch GTL, methanol synthesis and aqueous electrolyte systems to name just a few. He has experience in project execution from conception through detailed design and includes risk analyses and validations for bench, pilot, demo scale to commercial sized plants. He works closely with research scientists and engineers to develop advanced reactor models for gasification, fermentation, and other reactor technologies.

Marita Bobay Lythgoe

Marita has joined the GMP team as a Senior Process Engineer.

Marita joins GMP with more than twenty years of diversified engineering experience in multiple petrochemical industries and for several E&C companies. She has been involved in all phases of plant design including proposals, project documentation, safety reviews, operator training, start-ups and field support. The projects involved revamps, expansions and grass root facilities and have been done in many areas of the world – US, Canada, South America, China and Russia. The industries served include renewable fuels, ethylene oxide, ethanol dehydration, specialty chemicals, polymers, ammonia and methanol.

Austin Layden

Austin has joined the GMP team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Austin has eight years of experience working as both a mechanical and process design engineer for large scale projects across different industries. His experience includes engineering for renewable fuels, specialty chemical, bio-based plastics, and nuclear. The focus areas include equipment specification and requisition development, purchasing, and construction support for various projects and project coordination between disciplines.

Jo Turner

Jo has joined the GMP team as a Process Technology specialist.

Jo is a Process Technologist with over twenty-eight years of consulting experience supporting projects at various stages of their lifecycle from feasibility study through construction. Focus areas include conceptual engineering, front end engineering design, and detailed design. The industrial application of these focus areas include renewable fuels, specialty chemicals, polymers and power generation.
